Q - How long have you been training in CrossFit and did you exercise prior to joining JSA?

A -  I’ve been training in CrossFit for a year now. Prior to CrossFit I worked out at a regular gym and played tennis, ran track, and surf.

Q - What changes have you made to make your life healthier since starting CrossFit?

A - I snack less, I think that’s one of my biggest issues and I drink more water.

Q - Tell us about what you do outside of the box!

A - Outside the box I go to school and work, hang with friends but mostly think about getting back to the box.

Q - Since you have been at JSA, we have witnessed your growth as an athlete.  Brag a little.

A - I’ve grown tremendously since I’ve been at JSA. My mentality is on a whole other level now and I’m incredibly proud of that. Along with physically, I’ve made some serious gains!!

Q -  If you could listen to one song on repeat in the gym, what would it be?  Song choice is dependent on what we are doing.

A - If I could listen to a song on repeat it would be who you are by Syn Cole, it’s just an upbeat motivating song.

Q - What is a goal you have set for yourself in the next 6 months? The next year?

A - A goal I have set for myself in the next six months/year would to be deadlifting 200 pounds.

Q -  If there was a WOD named after you, what would it consist of?

A - A WOD named after me would consist of running, deadlifting, and handstand pushups!

Q - Do you have any favorite moments in the gym that you’d like to tell us about?

A - I think every moment in the gym is special. I really just love how supportive everyone is of one another. It’s always a laugh, and I’m forever grateful for it!

Q - What advice would you give to a new person starting CrossFit?

A - Do it, I’ve been wanting to try for years and I wish I started earlier. I’ve always loved sports but nothing is like CrossFit. This is it for me, it’s that thing I’ve always looked for.

Q -  Please share a quote that strikes you as important in your life.

A - Take pride in how far you have come and have faith in how far you will go.
